It was a half hour drive to where we met the Coopers, who have worked with the Lahusee people for many years. Then we hopped in the back of their truck (a makeshift songtaew) for the over two hour drive to the village.

A typical Lahusee house. The houses are built elevated, and animals (mostly dogs and chickens) live underneath. The walls and floors are made of bamboo, and the roof is made of straw.
