Bangkok pics

We have pictures up from our time in Bangkok! Hope you all enjoy them!

Our ultrasound is in less than 2 hours!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it...it'll be so amazing to see the baby, almost like meeting our child for the first time! Hopefully we'll get some really good pictures and we can post them in the morning.

Ultrasound tomorrow!

I think everybody reading this knows by now that we are expecting. If you didn't, guess what!! Anyway, tomorrow is our big ultrasound. I am so excited!! Hopefully we'll see a healthy little baby with all the fingers and toes you'd expect. We'd like to find out if it's a boy or girl, so here's to not having a shy kid! It would be really awesome if we could see the baby sucking a thumb or something...how cool. I'll post a picture after the ultrasound, so that should be Thursday night for all of you Stateside folk.

As a sidenote, I've been trying to post pictures of Bangkok but all my camera batteries keep dying before I can finish!! I'm hoping that tomorrow I can finally get those up!

Back to school again!

Today was the first day back from the break. The kids and staff alike are kind of ready to be back, but still moving a bit slowly! I'm glad to be back-truthfully, I was starting to get bored. Two weeks was a long break.

Last night we had a HUGE rainstorm-it was blowing and pounding like we had a hurricane outside! But it did cool things off nicely, so we've been enjoying a reprieve from the 110 degree weather we've had lately.

We also have our plane tickets squared away for going back to America. We'll both be leaving June 14th. It's hard to believe that in less than two months, we'll be back in America!

Bangkok!!

We just arrived back from Bangkok, and it was fabulous! It was like a three day long feast of western food!! We ate at Outback, Tony Roma's, Au Bon Pain, Hard Rock Cafe, Burger King, and several other places. Every day we had big lunch and dinners, plus a snack or two...it was so good! We had homemade ice cream, pasta, steaks, hamburgers, onion rings, french fries, fresh bread, sandwiches, bagels, and so much more!! Yum!! We did a little bit of sightseeing, but that mostly consisted of riding the skytrain and a river taxi (which was really cool-you'll have to see pictures) and walking around some enormous, very high-class malls. We tried to go to Chinatown, but everything was closed for Songkran (big holiday that is all this week in Thailand-stay tuned for more news on that). Between flying there and all the western food, it really felt like we had gone far and left Thailand for a few days. I should have pictures up within a few days. It was a lot of fun, and a great little vacation!

Break is here!!

This is the first week of our break from school. So far, it's been pretty uneventful. Jeremy's spent some time dusting out the computers at school, and I've been catching up on my grading.

Last night we went to the Wycliffe conference. We attended a sharing time where we got to hear about what other people were doing and have people pray for us and the baby. We also got to go to skit night. We were in a video for the hospitality committe; basically, it was the "what if no one volunteered" scenario and I am thrown a really hideous baby shower. It was very funny and we had a good time being out there.

Now we've got a few more days of downtime before we go to Bangkok. We'll leave on Sunday and come back next Wednesday, and our main goals there are windowshopping and eating good American food that we can't get in Chiang Mai (Outback, Tony Roma's, Burger King, etc). It should be a lot of fun-we're going with Holly and Krista. I'll try to take some pictures while we're there!
