This week, we've been able to spend some time with our families. That's especially nice knowing that we're about to move! For Memorial Day, we were in Jacksonville with my family. We had the typical cookout and even ate outside! Then this morning we hopped on planes to California. We're now in Mountain View (near San Francisco), and we'll be here through the weekend spending time with Jeremy's family.
Also, we just sent off our support letters! It will be exciting to see how God provides for our financial needs in Thailand!

Today we went to have breakfast with Khun Paiboon and Khun Patcharaporn. We had Thai breakfast with rice pudding, eggs, and fresh ginger, cilantro, and onions. It was really good! Then we spent a few hours practicing Thai with them. It was really great to be able to practice putting sentences together. Before we knew it, it was lunch time and they were fixing more food for us! We had what Thai people call "American fried rice"-it was fried rice with hot dog slices in it, with ketchup and chili sauce (aka Thai ketchup) for dipping. This family has been so gracious to us, and I feel like we're really starting to learn a little Thai!

Today we met with one of the church staff at Parkway about going to Thailand. He was very encouraging to us! It's obvious that he has a heart for missions and wants to help us get to Thailand. We're hoping to meet with a member of Parkway's missions committee sometime soon.

Today we got more exciting news! Things are set up at Wycliffe so we can begin raising support, and at almost the exact same time we got email from a church pledging support!! Praise the Lord, He is at work already in our finances! This came just after we found out that our training at Wycliffe would cost more than we had thought, so it was a great encouragement to us!

Today at church we met Paiboon and Patcharaporn. They are from Thailand, and have lived here in St. Louis for a few years. People at Parkway kept saying that we needed to meet this family, and now I see why. They are such wonderful, warm, welcoming people! They had us over to their home for lunch (Thai food of course, and it was delicious!), and gave us a lot of information on Thailand and let me practice a little Thai with them. They might even meet with us more this summer to help us learn Thai! I am so excited about the chance to work with these great people, and I think I will learn Thai much faster when I have someone to practice talking to (and someone to correct me with my tones!). It was such a blessing to meet them.
