Those are Christmas trees, hung upside down from the ceiling.

This is the giant tree at the mall. It's about 50 feet tall, and bright blue.

It's kind of cool looking, actually, if you aren't looking for realism.

Next to the giant blue tree is this santa in a blue suit, who climbs up and down the rope.
