Kim and Jeremy in Thailand

Week of September 5th

Please pray for extra energy for us! Between our early schedules (we leave for school at 6:45am), the heat, and the new responsibilities, we've been pretty worn out lately, and I don't want that to keep us from doing anything here. Also, please pray for the people here who have family and friends in the hurricane-hit areas of the US. It's hard to be so far away when something so devastating is happening, and communication has been difficult for people.

We are thankful this week that our sink is fixed! One bathroom sink had not really been useable since we'd been here, but this week someone helped us find a man to fix it, and I am so excited-it feels like we have a whole new bathroom! And driving is also getting easier and we are starting to learn our way around, which is also a big praise!

  1. Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.
